Srinagar, 09 Feb (KNO) : Demanding the return of mortal remain of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru the Islamic Political Party (IPP) on Friday held a protest rally at Shunglipora Srinagar which saw the participation of hundreds of people besides the leadership of IPP. The protestors led by IPP leaders including Mohammad Ayub Dar, Showkat Ahmad Khan, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Muzafar Ahmad, Ali Mohammad, Sajad Ahmad Lone while seeking moral support from world community for return of mortal remains of martyrs, said that ‘India is trampling human rights in Kashmir and with its military might India is depicting its arrogance and inflicting brutalities in occupied Jammu Kashmir, adding, it is a brazen violation of Human rights that their mortal remains are not given back to families. Meanwhile according to IPP spokesman party chairman and senior Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in-spite of ailing was arrested by police during a raid at his residence today early morning. The ailing leader was lodged in Safa Kadal police station. The spokesman condemned imposition of curfew on the eve of Shaheed Afzal Guru’s anniversary, arrest of party chairman Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and other Hurriyat leaders including Mohammad Yasin ,Malik Bilal Sidiqi, Ghulam Mohammad Gulzar, Mohammad Ashraf Laya, Yasin Attaie , Umar Adil Dar, Imtiaz Hyder , Sajad Ahmad Paul , Gazi Javid Baba said the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir won’t go waste, adding, the oppressive tactics to muzzle the voice of Kashmir will not deter us to carry the movement forward. The IPP spokesman said Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru are the source of inspiration for us and the best way of paying tributes to them is that we should not forget these brave sons of the soil who sacrificed their present for our better political future (KNO)
